Caroline Morlat
Poetic Journey
Caroline Morlat is a French artist and writer. Through her artistic identities—Caroline Morlat Mialaret, Caro MM, and Contramirale—she develops a transversal body of work in which writing, voice, and image become different forms of a single poetic expression.
Born in Paris in 1983, Caroline Morlat now lives and creates in Auray, Brittany, France.

Since the age of seventeen, Caroline Morlat has been developing an artistic practice rooted in poetic writing. Poetry and prose form the original foundation of a universe in which words explore intimacy, feelings, emotions, darkness, and the few flowers she manages to make bloom within it.
Through the writings signed Caroline Morlat Mialaret, she seeks a form of joy in the precision she achieves—a joy long pursued through a deeply demanding inner journey.
Between 2019 and 2022, under the name Caro MM, this writing found another form of expression through voice and song lyrics. Looking back on her poetic path, this musical embodiment appears as a first attempt to move beyond absolute introspection and enter into relationship with a world still imbued with fear and mystery.
Since 2024, following the emergence of a profoundly transformative joy in her personal life, Caroline Morlat has continued this exploration under the name Contramirale, investigating the image as a new form of poetic writing.
Generative imagery becomes an artistic language through which visions, atmospheres and narratives can emerge—elements whose subtlety already existed in words, but which now find their source in a joy that has become central.
From that moment onward, her work turns decisively outward and toward the image. Caroline Morlat then assigns herself the task of healing what surrounds her with all the beauty she is capable of imagining.
At Contramirale, the image does not illustrate: it is the poem.
Her practice brings together generative imagery, pastel, charcoal and acrylic painting in an approach where different materials and mediums participate in the same quest: giving a tangible form to the invisible.
Artificial intelligence is not a technical end in itself, but one medium among others, chosen for its capacity to open new territories of expression.
Through her different artistic signatures—Caroline Morlat Mialaret for writing, Contramirale for the visual arts, and Caro MM for musical expression—Caroline Morlat builds a transversal universe in which words, images and voice become the various forms of a single poetic writing.
